Getting Your Estero Home Ready for Your Return

A pre-arrival cleaning plan for seasonal owners who want the house to feel welcoming from day one.

Start with an arrival walkthrough

After time away, look for dust on open surfaces, stale air in closed rooms and marks on the floors near exterior doors. Check guest spaces and bathrooms even if they were not used much during your absence.

Prioritize the rooms you will use first

Clean the kitchen, primary bedroom and main bathroom before the rest of the home. Freshly wiped surfaces and ready-to-use floors make the first evening much easier, particularly after a long travel day.

If guests are arriving soon after you, include their rooms and shared spaces in the same visit.

Plan the timing, not just the checklist

Schedule a pre-arrival clean close enough to your return that the home still feels fresh. Share your arrival window, gate instructions and any areas that need extra attention. Once you are settled, choose a recurring cadence that reflects how often you are actually in residence.
